Double-Decker Odyssey G9 Battlestation
About this build
Two 49-inch Odyssey G9s, stacked. This is the desk that makes every dual-monitor debate feel timid: a matched pair of 1000R DQHD 240Hz panels, one above the other, with a full 10,240 x 2,880 pixels of curved glass. Verified from the creator’s own build thread (Reddit u/shurik214 on r/ultrawidemasterrace), which also settles that these are the original 2020 G9s rather than the later Neo.
The engineering footnote is the best part: no off-the-shelf mount is rated for two 16kg G9s, so the creator reinforced a budget stacking arm with custom steel discs. Audio runs properly too, with KRK ROKITs on a Focusrite Scarlett. The keyboard and mouse cannot be conclusively identified at the source image’s resolution, and the PC (an “almost ROG Strix only” RTX 3090 build) is excluded from the total since its exact part list is no longer retrievable.

Why this setup works
Stacking two G9s solves the one weakness of a single super ultrawide: vertical space. The bottom panel carries the game or the timeline at eye level while the top holds everything you would normally alt-tab for, and because both are the same panel there is no colour or curvature mismatch where they meet. It only works because of details you cannot see in the photo: a reinforced mount doing double duty, and proper studio audio (KRK plus Scarlett) that suits a desk built for long sessions rather than loud ones.
