About this build
A royal blue wall, a walnut KARLBY worktop, and an Alienware ultrawide running a spreadsheet: this desk (by EST4R, featured on Voltcave) is the hybrid formula executed with unusual taste. A classic BenQ esports monitor stands portrait for code and chat, a Kira96 enthusiast keyboard sits on the butcher block, and a Herman Miller Embody in Berry Blue colour-matches the wall.
Two honest correction notes: the portrait XL2420T is a 120Hz panel, not the 240Hz sometimes claimed for it, and both displays plus the keyboard are discontinued, so their rows carry realistic used-market pricing. The PC (a Phanteks Evolv X housing an i7-8086K and a GTX 1080 Ti) is confidently documented but long discontinued, so it stays out of the total – though the Evolv X case itself still sells for around $220.

Why this setup works
This setup works because the expensive things are the ones you touch and see for nine hours: the chair and the desk surface. The Embody is the single priciest item by far, the walnut KARLBY warms up what would otherwise be a screens-and-plastic wall, and the G703 charging continuously through its POWERPLAY pad removes the one recurring annoyance of wireless mice.
